Nepal is Open. The Himalayas are waiting.

By Bijay Paudel, Founder & Editor-in-Chief

Everest still stands beneath the endless sky.

Annapurna still rises above the clouds.

The trails still wind through forests, villages and ancient landscapes. And across Nepal, the warmth of our people still welcomes those who come from near and far.

Nepal is going through a painful time.

We cannot and should not hide that pain. Lives have been affected, communities are rebuilding, and many people are carrying memories that will remain with them for years.

But Nepal has never been defined by its difficult days.

We are defined by the way we rise from them.

For generations, the Himalayas have taught us something simple: storms do not last forever. Clouds may cover the mountains, but they never make the mountains disappear.

And perhaps Nepal is like that too.

Today, we are healing.

Today, we are rebuilding.

But we are also looking forward.

The Himalayas are waiting for your arrival.

Everest has not changed.

Annapurna has not changed.

The mountains still hold their silence. The rivers still find their way through the valleys. The prayer flags still dance with the mountain wind. And somewhere along a trail, a small lodge is still preparing a room for a traveller who has dreamed of Nepal for years.

This is the Nepal we want the world to see.

Not a country that has forgotten its pain—

but a country that has found strength within it.

Tourism has always been more than an industry for Nepal. It connects people, cultures and communities. A traveller's journey can become a livelihood for a guide, a porter, a hotel owner, a driver, a farmer and countless families whose lives are connected to tourism.

So, to our friends around the world:

Come to Nepal.

Come when your destination and route are safe.

Come with respect.

Come with an open heart.

Come to walk beneath the world's highest mountains. Come to experience our culture, our hospitality and our extraordinary landscapes. And come knowing that your presence can help keep communities moving forward.

We are not asking the world to forget what happened.

We are asking the world to believe in what comes next.

Because our story is far from over.

The mountains are still standing.

The people are still standing.

And Nepal is still looking toward the next sunrise.

We have been tested.

We have been hurt.

But we have not given up.

We will rebuild.

We will rise.

And when we rise, we will rise stronger than before.

Nepal is open.

The Himalayas are waiting.

The mountains have not moved.

Our spirit has not broken.

And the next chapter is ours to write.

Welcome to Nepal.
